This work deals with the research electric powered wheelchair and one's own project for its improvement. At the beginning a basic characterization of powered electric wheelchair is described. The work continues with a study of research control systems. Next, statistics are worked up from opinion poll. Instrument for optimalization engine power and battery capacity is created in terms of this information.

This project proposes a conveyor belt for given material and transport output. A functional calculation is carried out ČSN ISO 5048 which specifies main dimensions and propulsion proposal. Based on strength analysis, calculation of shaft of driving drum is performed. Individual components of conveyor are chosen from catalogues of the companies, which are engaged in these questions, whose products are accessible in the Czech Republic.

The purpose of the bachelor thesis is the construction design of the belt conveyor for the transport of foundry sand with the transport capacity of 70 tons per hour. The bachelor thesis includes the functional calculation performed according to the norm ČSN ISO 5048. Moreover, the bachelor thesis designs the drive of the conveyor and the strength calculation of the drive shaft and the idler drums.
